About Kiki

Romantic Sci-fi Author | Dreamer of glowing worlds | Writer of epic stories |
A science-fiction author weaving worlds that glow from within.
THE SOUL BEHIND THE WORDS.
I’m Kiki (K. M. Addinsall) — an Australian indie author, mother of two, lifelong storyteller, & all-around creative. Creation has always been my way of making sense of the world, a way of capturing beauty, my grief, & all round wonder in a way that feels tangible.
Whether through words, clay, or colour, I’m always creating something that speaks from my soul. After fifteen years of dreaming, world-building, & refining, Children of Rain, my debut novel is ready to be shared with the world.
This story is a soul-deep journey that starts with leaving a dying Earth & journeys across time & space to explore a glowing alien planet & the mystery it hides beneath its surface. It follows two genetically enhanced lovers as they confront impossible choices, ancient secrets, & the raw cost of survival, & it is an honour to say it has been the catalyst of something far bigger than a fictional story, but a movement rooted in making real-world impact.

A glance into Children of Rain
A dying Earth. A glowing alien world. A choice that could destroy them all.
Makoa & Serra are humanity’s last hope, sent to explore the bioluminescent planet, Aurelia. But what they find is far from what they expected: a peaceful, intelligent species — the Rainchildren — who may be in the path of humanity’s colonisation.
Torn between duty, love, & an impossible choice, Makoa & Serra must decide: Save their people? Or protect an innocent world.

The Why Behind the Words
CHILDREN OF RAIN WAS NEVER WRITTEN TO SIMPLY
TELL A STORY.
It was written as a reflection of our relationship with the Earth, with each other, & with ourselves. Through the world of Aurelia — a planet living in complete symbiosis with its native species, the Rainchildren — the story asks a simple but confronting question:
What happens when a world finally fights back against those destroying it?
At its core, Children of Rain is an invasion story with a twist: we are the invaders. But beyond the fiction, the heart of this project has always been about reconnection: reconnection to nature, to stillness, to meaning, & to the understanding that we only have one home.
From these intentions, One Page, One Planet was born — a movement using storytelling, music, immersive experiences, & environmental advocacy to inspire people to reconnect with the world around them & to protect it with greater care.
Because the truth is simple: We do not have a planet B & if a story can make people fall in love with a world that doesn’t exist, perhaps it can help them protect the one that does.

One page, one planet
One Page, One Planet is the living creative ecosystem growing from Children of Rain—where story becomes sound, art becomes atmosphere, scent becomes memory, & imagination becomes action. Inspired by the bioluminescent world of Aurelia, I am building a growing network of artists, creators, conscious brands, environmental organisations, charities & like-minded partners who believe stories can do more than entertain: they can connect us, spark wonder, & inspire meaningful change for the world we share.
From immersive experiences & thoughtful collaborations to sustainable products, environmental initiatives & creative partnerships. Every element is an invitation to step beyond the page & into something larger. If you are an organisation, brand, creator, charity, sponsor or change-maker who feels aligned with this vision, I would love to hear from you and explore what we might bring to life together.
One Page, One Planet is a quiet promise to the earth beneath us and the dreams within us. It is a place where every word planted helps a forest grow and every story shared heals the ground we walk upon. I invite you to weave your own thread into this tapestry of care, slowing down to honor the wild and turning our shared imagination into a soft, steady path toward a world renewed.
